Career Fair
nlgd_093_02_190608_145313.gif Europe is quickly becoming the new centre for creativity in game development. In the last couple of years a lot of Dutch universities and other schools have started new initiatives in game studies and game related education to meet the growing demand. More and more people study games in all its facets and the number of graduates becomes bigger every year.

On top of that, the freedom that European citizens gained to work throughout member countries of the EU has made it much easier for people to move throughout Europe for work. Therefore, it is not uncommon to find a great variety of nationalities within the teams of various game companies, developers and publishers.

The increased number of studies and the pan-European job opportunities have opened a whole new market for job agencies specializing in the games industry, now able to expand their business tremendously. The growth of the games industry has also triggered some more mainstream job agencies to include this area in their services.

The Career Fair has brought all the aforementioned parties together: students, educators, recruiters and companies that have job openings. Schools gave more information on the studies they offer and students have presented their latest projects. The Career Fair was open to every one who wanted to see what is out there.
