Scope

Brands and Games, an event organized by IAB and the NLGD, covers the complete scope of Game Advertising, ranging from advergames (branded games and co-marketing, ingame advertising (product placement in pc and console titles and virtual worlds) and ads around games (for instance on game portals). Curing the event, market data, trends and cases will be combined with actual targets en advertiser target groups. Brands and Games offers a great opportunity to not only learn all there is to know about games and marketing, but also to extend your network. the full program     

Keynote, parallel sessions and speeddating
dave_icon3.jpgDavid Edery, co-author of “Changing The Game: How Video Games Are Transforming The Future Of Business” will give an inspiring and practical overview of the gaming arena. The parallel sessions use various marketing communication targets as basis and game developers and advertisers together will present their cases. Games are HOT and their share in media consumption is growing. Not just for kids though, but even more so for adults, as a visit to Spelpunt.nl will show. 2.5 million people in the ages 20 to 65 (94 percent of total unique visitors) have visited this website in 2008. Traditional games like Klaverjassen, Backgammon and Wordtornado are all played with- or against other visitors. Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Netherlands
The IAB Netherlands is the independent organization and knowlegde platform in the field of online advertising, interactive marketing as well as mobile and iTV advertising. The IAB facilitates a task force specifically aimed at game advertising and advergaming, in addition to task forces aimed at search, mobile and video advertising. Approximately 150 companies are member of the Dutch IAB organization.

NLGD Foundation
The Brands and Games Summit 2009 is organized by the NLGD Foundation. Newzoo is responsible for the program and supports the promotion of this event. NLGD supports the Dutch gamesindustry by organizing various activities, publications and events with often an international scope. Examples are the Festifval of Games, Game Jams, NPOX.
