Tuur Hendrickx and Yorick Goldewijk are both co-founders of SonicPicnic, a studio specialized in music compositions and sound design for media, with establishments in Utrecht and Rotterdam., the Netherlands. Over the years they focused more and more on game audio and have dedicated themselves for the development and improvement of the position of audio within the gamesindustry. In the mean time they have provided music and audio for various games on various platforms, among which, XBLA, Nintendo DS, Wii and Wiiware.
Audio of Games
Tuur and Yorick will speak about the realization of audio for games, from concept to end product, on the basis of the by them created soundtracks for Rocket Riot (XBLA) and Toki Tori (WiiWare). On the basis of picture and audio fragments from the game, they will compose the sound track step by step, of course getting into the artistic, technical and practical insights and challenges that have arisen during the process.
