With the aim “to make Fukuoka the game industrial city which the world aims at", “Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Agency” was established in 2006. It is organized by a consortium of game-related companies (10 companies, as of April 2008) called GFF (GAME FACTORY'S FRIENDSHIP), Kyushu University and City of Fukuoka. This business-academia- government collaboration is the only cooperation of its kind in Japan. Their project includes training and securing talented personnel, such as creators and producers (e.g. organizing internships), market cultivation, PR activities (internationally and domestically) among others. City of Fukuoka acts as the bureau for the Agency, taking care of all administration matters. |
