Tjeerd Bomhof - is the singer and guitarist of VOICST. Other members are: Sven Woodside (bass) and Joppe Molenaar (drummer).
Support from influential Dutch media outlet 3Voor12 and The Dutch Pop Institute led the band to a slot at Lowlands, a huge Dutch festival, and also netted Voicst their first appearance at the New Yorks CMJ Music Conference. For three consecutive years they have played the Noorderslag music conference in Holland and toured Benelux with the likes of Bettie Serveert, Nada Surf, and Tenacious D.
In 2005 3Voor12 named their debut album 11-11, Album of the Year.
Approximately two and a half year since the release of this album, the band has been on the road. This led them from Spain to the UK and from the US to Japan. Playing at festivals including Rock in Idro (Italy), Popkomm (Berlin), Benicassim (Spain), SXSW (Austin, TX), and supporting bands like The Bravery, The Posies and Millionaire.
The new album A Tale or Two Devils, is substantial different than its predecessor 11-11. For instance, on the new album guest artists like Beyoncé’s trumpeter and Gogol Bordello’s saxophonist both play their parts. Even the pianist from Simon & Garfunkel plays along on the new album.
Voicst is on the road again with their new album A Tale Of Two Devils.
Playing at festivals like Sziget 2008 (Budapest) with bands like Sex Pistols, Kaiser Chiefs and R.E.M.
